We've all had those rough mornings (or afternoons) after a fun night out. After years of trial and error and headaches and toilet-hugging, we've FINALLY found a recipe that helps offset our hangover symptoms! 😍
This magical smoothie is cold, delicious, and packed full of hangover-fighting nutrients like bananas and almonds, which help restore some much-needed potassium and shows your liver some detoxifying love with Vitamin E and Omega 3 fatty acids.
The best part? It actually tastes like an indulgent milkshake! You know...the kind that actually makes it worth putting on sweatpants and sunglasses to sit in the drive-thru for? The frozen bananas give it a true milkshake texture, so you don't even have to leave the house (or put on pants).
So if you can make it from the bathroom to the kitchen, here's what you need:
1 frozen banana
2 scoops chocolate protein powder — we used the Olly brand from Target, which gets bonus points for being plant-based
2 scoops of collagen peptides — we recommend sticking with the unflavored kinds, which we buy by the tub from food section of TJ Maxx and can be mixed in with other food/drinks/smoothies/coffee on non-hangover days!
1 to 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk — adjust this based on how thick or runny you want your shakes to be
Dump all of these ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth....sorry for the noisy part!
While we can't guarantee this will CURE your hangover (we're only human), this is a refreshing stomach-soother that hasn't failed us yet!
Good luck out there!
